Mrs. Arlana Daniel-Smith Biography
Mrs. Daniel-Smith joined the staff of Harvest Preparatory School with over thirty years of experience in the field of education. After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Kent State University, she earned her Masters in Administration and Supervision from the University of Dayton. She began her professional career as in Intervention Specialist for First through Eighth Grade, and continued on to become a first grade, Title 1 and an Individually Guided Education Resource teacher. Motivated by her leadership skills and ability to innovate, she worked as principal for the last fifteen years.
Being an active member of her church, she became the Director of the Youth Summer Arts Camp, Coordinator of the Children’s Book Club and served on the governing board for the church. Mrs. Daniel-Smith then retired and relocated to Pickerington, Ohio.
Determined to continue her passion for the education of youths and the desire to instill Christian values and beliefs she joined Harvest Preparatory School as the Director of Admissions. Mrs. Daniel-Smith’s diligence and enthusiasm fostered her current position as the Head of the Lower School.
She looks forward to facilitating growth and creating a diverse, productive and intellectually stimulating environment, rooted in faith necessary for student development.
